1)
Heat Sensitive Ink - Separate Color
The patented ink will disappear at temperatures above 85. This
will allow the payer to verify that the check is not a fraudulent
document. Because the ink is heat sensitive it is virtually
impossible to make copies or scan the document without the fingerprint
disappearing.
The fingerprint is printed as a separate color within registered
seal as part of the American Banking Association (ABA) endorsement
area.
2) Warning Clause
The ABA endorsement area also contains the Fingerprint Security
warning clause to alert the payer of this security feature.
3) Fingerprint Watermark Security Seal
In addition to the visible fingerprint security seal in the
ABA endorsement area, the same fingerprint and seal are incorporated
in the watermark to further guarantee the authenticity of the
negotiable document.
4) Control Numbers
Each Fingerprint Security check is printed with a control number
to further assure authenticity. These numbers, along with the
fingerprint, are registered with Printerm.
